ABA's 35th National Spring Conference on the Environment

Six NAELS students spending the summer in Washington or Baltimore turned out for the American Bar Association's June 8 meeting of its Standing Committee on the Environment.

The 35th National Spring Conference, held at the University of Maryland Law School, featured speakers from the law, government, non-profit and business fields. Speakers highlighted the many areas in which lawyers in all fields can help stop global climate change.

Dan Worth, NAELS Executive Director, and Michael Gerrard, Arnold & Porter partner and NAELS Board of Directors member, spoke during the event.

These conferences can teach you a lot about people, their views on law and politics and just how selfish some people actually are, global climate change is an issue everyone talks about but no one mentions the profiteering from it that is going on by big companies and goverment, these are real eye openers but if you are willing to see.
